ShortHop currently supports (a) market orders and (b) limit orders.
Market orders are requests by a user to buy or sell a particular Supported Digital Asset at the best available price in the current market. Such orders will be filled immediately. When you place a market order, you cannot specify your desired execution price. In filling a market order, ShortHop will seek to fill the order with existing resting orders on the ShortHop order book first, and then fill the remainder of the order with resting orders on other liquidity providers’ order books. Market orders are available for all Supported Digital Assets and pairs.
Limit orders are orders that are filled at or better than a price specified by you. Any order that has not been filled in full will continue to rest on the order book until it is either filled or cancelled. Currently, limit orders are available for the following pairs: BCH-BTC, BCH-USD, BTC-USD, ETH-BTC, ETH-USD, LTC-BTC, LTC-USD, XLM-BTC, XLM-USD, XRP-BTC, and XRP-USD. More pairs will be added in the future as we add more Supported Digital Assets.
